Wendi Williams, the woman seen in a now-viral clip being harassed by a fellow passenger for reclining her seat, is ready to hit American Airlines for her trouble.
Williams recorded a clip of a male passenger who sat behind her on an AA who repeatedly punched the back of her chair because she reclined it.
According to TMZ, Williams is allegedly pissed off about a statement reps for the airline gave to the media claiming that when Williams reclined her seat, she knocked over the drink of the guy behind her. Williams maintains that- the spillage never happened, and if it had, it would’ve been an accident, so it shouldn’t in any way excuse his passive-aggressive behavior.
Williams believes she was slandered when AA accused her of being disruptive, spilling a drink, and also when the flight attendant reprimanded her on the plane, even calling her a bad person in the dispute. She contends it’s all defamatory.
She is not interested in suing the passenger, although she’s told TMZ she’d like to see him prosecuted for assault. Williams is upset about her overall treatment, she was actually given a passenger disturbance notice, even though she remained calm and respectful throughout the in-flight incident. The notice was given to her by a flight attendant for refusing to delete her video evidence.
A source at American Airlines reportedly claimed to TMZ that Williams reached out to the airline earlier this past week, asking for compensation, but says she won’t see a dime from them because AA considers this as a passenger vs. passenger dispute.
