Red Lobster is celebrating after getting a second chance after exiting bankruptcy this week.
The popular seafood restaurant chain issued a statement on Wednesday expressing gratitude and optimism after emerging from some legal troubles.
“Red Lobster is now stronger, more resilient, and ready for a bright new chapter,” part of the announcement read.

The company filed for Chapter 11 protection in May 2024 due to financial challenges brought on by rising food costs, supply chain issues, and changing consumer habits in the post-pandemic landscape. Red Lobster, which had built its brand on affordable seafood, such as the “Endless Shrimp” deal, struggled to keep pace with fluctuating demand and inflationary pressures, with their famous bargain doing more harm than good. After filing for bankruptcy, Red Lobster implemented a financial reorganization plan. This included appointing a new leader, Damola Adamolekun, the former CEO of P.F. Chang.
As part of the restructuring, the chain is expected to focus on improving customer experiences and optimizing its menu. While it’s unclear if the seafood chain will scrap some of its famous dishes or add new ones, here are five icons that we hope remain in the restaurant’s lineup.
Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Warm and fluffy biscuits made of Red Lobster’s famous cheddar batter)
Shrimp Linguini Alfredo (Tender shrimp tossed in a creamy garlic Alfredo sauce on a bed of linguini)
Shrimp Your Way (Custom combinations of shrimp, with the option of having any of Red Lobster’s famous shrimp dishes in one dish)
Stuffed Flounder (Wild-caught flounder roasted with seafood stuffing in a creamy sauce)
Lobster Dip (Lobster, spinach, and artichoke in a three-cheese blend with tortilla chips and pico de Gallo)
