Back in January 2014, Desean Jackson, who was playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, was the victim of a home invasion. At the time, just under half a million dollars (or $20,000, depending who you ask) worth of valuables were stolen. Now it seems history has repeated itself because Jackson’s Tarzana, CA home has now become a target.
The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday evening. Jackson was not home at the time of the invasion, but six of his pals were, and because of them the robbers didn’t make out with half a million dollars worth of stuff this time.
The six people in the home were able to fight off the intruders, unfortunately at least one of the six had been pistol whipped and suffered minor injuries. The intruders fled the scene but authorities believe that they had been to the home before. They appeared to know exactly where the security cameras were placed. Cops also say they believe the incident was gang related, then again they said the same thing about Chris Brown’s home invasion and that ended up being false.
Desean’s publicist issued a statement:
“DeSean is getting ready to be a father for the first time. He’s currently in Virginia practicing with the team. He had no knowledge of the incident until a phone call last evening. It’s a legal matter. We’re waiting for police to let us know more about the incident.”
So sad that we can’t have nice things without others feeling the need to take what we work hard for.
