Reese’s is switching up its chocolate and peanut butter cups by adding potato chips to the mix.
Yes, you read that correctly. The iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup will now include potato chip crumbs inside the peanut butter. Last year, an Instagram page named @junkfoodleaks_ leaked a photo of the new offering and claimed that they’d be out in 2021. Now, the company has confirmed this new sweet and salty treat.
In a product statement, the company said that consumers can expect to “taste the chocolate, then the peanut butter, then a curious crunch for the ultimate sweet and salty snack moment.” The new candy will only be available in their king-size version or the “Big Cup” as it’s commonly known.
There is no word yet on when the treat will appear in stores, but Reese’s lovers can head over to Hersheyland.com to find out when the exclusive Big Cups will be available in their area.
