In a recent New York Times interview, Regina Hall was asked about the infamous #WhoBitBeyonce incident, in which a mysterious Hollywood celebrity bit Beyonce on the face. Tiffany Haddish initially shared the story, and although Haddish didn’t say any names, Sanaa Lathan was thrown in the mix and named the face-biting culprit by TMZ. But now, one year later, Hall says Haddish may have exaggerated the whole thing.
During the interview, David Marchese asked Hall about her friendships with Haddish and Lathan, and whether the comedian was serious when she insinuated an actress had bitten Beyoncé. Hall said, “Let me tell you something, I could tap your leg with my foot, and Tiffany would retell it as me kicking you. She’s a comedian. She can make a story, know what I mean? That whole thing took on a life of its own.”
In case the story is unfamiliar, Haddish said in her GQ cover story last year that while she and Beyoncé were both at a party, an unnamed actress bit the singer on the face. Haddish even claimed she was ready to run down on the guilty party in Beyoncé’s defense, but Bey encouraged her not to. Tiffany said, “I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight!’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.'”
How many stories will we hear until we find out if Beyoncé actually got bit on the face? The world may never know.
