Reginae Carter is fed up with rude comments related to the California wildfires, especially as it pertains to wealthy people.
If you’ve been on social media in the days since the Palisades Fire broke out, quickly engulfing much of the Los Angeles area, then you’ve likely seen many celebrities speak about losing their homes. However, in the midst of this, countless social media users have expressed little sympathy for the rich. According to Lil Wayne’s daughter, this display of nonchalance is not helping the situation.
“I wanna tell the ignorant people something…it doesn’t matter how much money you have .. don’t nobody wanna see everything they worked so hard for in Ashes,” she tweeted.
I wanna tell the ignorant people something … it doesn’t matter how much money you have .. don’t nobody wanna see everything they worked so hard for .. in Ashes ! Like wtf is wrong with yall telling fortunate people to “just buy a new house” like huh? Yall are weird .

Several wealthy stars such as Paris Hilton, Tina Knowles, Jhene Aiko, and actor Joshua Jackson, had homes burned down in the fast-moving wildfires. Some have voiced that their loss is not as profound, considering that they can afford to purchase new property. However, Carter believes the socioeconomic status of victims should not be a factor in their receiving support.
“Like wtf is wrong with yall telling fortunate people to ‘just buy a new house’ like huh? Ya’ll are weird,” the influencer added.
While the full scope of the devastation is still being determined, thousands of structures, many of which are homes, have burned to the ground.
