Rapper Remy Ma is celebrating turning one year older while managing to shave a few years off of her age.
The “Conceited” MC turned up at her Prohibition-themed party Wednesday night with celebrity guests such as Fabolous, Fat Joe, TT Torrez, and more. Her husband Papoose hosted the glamorous shindig at the Casa De Lobo in Jersey City. During the star-studded event, Remy said she might be 43 technically, but she’s only claiming 35 years of her life since she spent several of them behind bars and inside battling the pandemic.
“So I appreciate all of you coming to my 35th birthday party. I don’t f******g count the ones I was in prison, and I don’t count the ones during COVID,” she told the crowd.
Back in 2007, Remy was sentenced to eight years in prison for shooting a friend of hers outside a Manhattan nightclub after initially believing the woman stole money from her. She was released in 2014, though she still had to serve five years of parole. After completing it in 2019, she officially became a completely free woman.
Famed photographer Johnny Nunez was on scene at the party, capturing images of Remy in her champagne-colored gown from 𝐍𝐘𝐂 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 as she danced and greeted her many guests. Nunez even shot the moment when rapper Ma$e showed up towards the end of the soiree to surprise Remy.
No matter her real age, Remy looked amazing alongside her delighted attendees.
