Based on similar experiments that started the global pandemic that originated in China, researchers at Boston University allegedly created a new Covid Strain with an 80% kill rate.
According to reports, researchers claim that the variant that combined Omicron with the original virus from Wuhan killed 80% of the afflicted mice. The mice who were only exposed to Omicron had very mild side effects.
The spike protein from Omicron was extracted and attached to the strain identified at the onset of the outbreak in Wuhan, China. Mice were then monitored to see how the hybrid strain affected them.

The publication noted, “In…mice, while Omicron causes mild, non-fatal infection, the Omicron S-carrying virus inflicts severe disease with a mortality rate of 80 percent.”

Researchers say the new strain has five times more infectious virus particles than the Omicron variant.

However, NBC Boston reported that researchers are now claiming that the publication released by the government is misleading and untrue.

“First, this research is not gain-of-function research, meaning it did not amplify the Washington state SARS-COV-2 virus strain (original virus from 2020) or make it more dangerous,” BU said, calling the reports “false and inaccurate.”

The university said, “In fact, this research made the virus replicate less dangerous.”
