Mark Morrison, best known for his ’90s hit “Return of the Mack,” was arrested over the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, after an alleged physical altercation at a high-end restaurant.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Morrison stormed into Le Bar à Vin on Saturday evening and began yelling and cursing at the restaurant’s general manager, Nicola Lavacca, over a disagreement tied to an event he had been planning with the venue just the day before.
Witnesses told police that the confrontation escalated when Morrison allegedly pushed Lavacca in the upper body. The manager reportedly did not retaliate, and another bystander quickly stepped in to separate them and asked Morrison to step outside.
Police arrived and, based on the witness statements and evidence, arrested Morrison on a charge of simple battery. A photo from the scene shows the singer in handcuffs, wearing a black shirt, khaki shorts, and bright yellow shoes.
He was later booked and posed for a mugshot in a blue jumpsuit, appearing visibly unhappy. Morrison was released on Sunday morning after posting $1,000 bond.
Neither Morrison nor his representatives have issued a public statement on the incident.
