I always get asked advice from people who want to enter the realm of blogging/correspondence and when I tell them it’s a lot harder than it looks they never believe me (that’s until they actually have to do it themselves). Remember when Karrueche was criticized for reading a distasteful Blue Ivy joke on a teleprompter and everyone said she should have not read it or improvised? Have you ever tried to improvise on live TV? Not as easy as you think. Fun fact, I never make up interview questions. All of my interviews are on the fly. Improvisation works for ME, doesn’t really work for everyone. With that said, working in media is hard and can be stressful and if you really want to do it, it’s something you have to practice.
Last week I got the opportunity to interview DJ Damage and Sib Vicious of Revolt Live and since they’re currently holding my dream job, I had to ask their advice on being a media personality. For those of you who are interested in hosting or correspondence work in anyway, I suggest you listen up. They’re spitting gems here! They touch on everything from researching, improv, and being certain it’s what you truly want to do. Watch the video below.
