It’s official, y’all! “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is gearing up for its 16th season, and the cast lineup has just been dropped, bringing back some familiar faces and introducing some newbies.
Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora are making their return as the veteran Housewives. And after stepping away for two seasons, Porsha Williams is sliding back into the scene amid her high-profile split from Simon Guobadia.
Fresh faces joining the ladies are Brittany Eady, a multifaceted author and podcast host; Kelli Ferrell, a culinary queen from the Food Network; and Angela Oakley, wife of NBA great Charles Oakley.
Shamea Morton Mwangi, a familiar face since season 5, has finally snagged her peach as a full-time Housewife. Meanwhile, Cynthia Bailey returns in a recurring friend role after previously starring as a Housewife from seasons 3 to 13.
However, this season also marks the departure of several cast members. Shereé Whitfield, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross have all exited the series. Marlo Hampton shared that leaving the show marks a new beginning for her, allowing her to pursue other creative projects.
Additionally, Kandi Burruss has announced her departure after 14 consecutive seasons. She revealed at the 2024 Grammys that she’s stepping back to focus on other ventures, stating her intention to explore and invest time in new projects outside of the series.
With production underway this month, the upcoming season promises new dynamics and developments, set to premiere in 2025.
