Porsha Williams made a statement following her surprising decision to file for divorce from Simon Guobadia after only a year of marriage.
On Sunday, the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star took to Instagram to share her initial public message since news of her separation from her husband surfaced.
“Thank you for your prayers & support – PW,” she wrote.
However, just hours before her post, Guobadia expressed his own sentiments regarding the divorce in an Instagram story, offering his perspective on the situation.
“Will Stop Loving My Wife When Divorce is Final,” he wrote.
The statements from the former couple come after over a year of marriage. As per court records, Williams officially filed for divorce from Guobadia last Thursday in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. The docket specifies the case type as “Divorce — Contested.”
