Mary Cosby, one of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, is facing charges after reportedly “unlawfully providing shelter to a runaway” and “contributing to the delinquency of a minor.”
Cosby, 48, pleaded not guilty in June to two misdemeanor charges in connection to the case. The minor she is accused of housing has not been identified.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show Cosby was initially charged back in April. Not much else is known about the case. Rumors circulating on the internet have said Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., may also be involved.
A representative for Cosby called the whole thing a “misunderstanding.”
“Mary is saddened that she was dragged into another family’s domestic situation but is confident that this misunderstanding will be cleared up soon,” the rep said.
The reality star is due back in court on August 12.
Cosby gained notoriety for controversially marrying her step-grandfather.
