That’s Baller: Richard Mille & Ferrari Unleash World’s Thinnest Timepiece for $1.8 Million

Richard Mille has outdone themselves again, this time joining forces with Ferrari to create the world’s thinnest timepiece with a hefty price tag attached.

The iconic Swiss watchmaker and the luxury sports car company have unveiled the RM UP-01 Ferrari. The breathtaking model was crafted to be the thinnest timepiece on earth, and dethrones Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra as the previous title holder, has a stated case thickness of 1.75 mm.

The stylish wealth-inspired watch was explicitly formulated to resemble the high-powered automotive. It has two connecting crowns on the right side and a direct dial with a sapphire bezel that displays the time. The balance dial and Ferrari’s distinctive Prancing Horse have been meticulously merged on the left side, while one crown controls the watch’s functions and the other winds the timepiece.

Despite its insufficient thickness, the one-of-a-kind watch has a 45-hour battery life and can withstand accelerations of up to 5,000 Gs. While we cannot fathom why anyone would take a swim in their RM UP-01 Ferrari, the wrist accessory is water-resistant up to 10 meters.

Only 150 units of the watch will be available. However, only the richest of the rich will be able to get this piece in their watch collection. With a price tag of $1.88 million, only the 1% will be able to afford such luxuries.
