Richard Pryor’s son has seemingly accused comedian Paul Mooney of “violating” him decades ago.
TMZ caught up with Richard Pryor Jr. on the streets, following a recently published video of Rashon Kahn, the former bodyguard of Richard Pryor Sr. Khan, who claimed Pryor Sr. and Mooney’s personal and professional relationship started to struggle around 1986, said it was because “Mooney had fucked Richard’s son by that time.”
Khan was promoting his upcoming tell-all book ’Everything Wasn’t Funny;’ but he didn’t mention when the alleged assault took place. However, he did say Mooney, who was well-known as one of Pryor’s writers, assaulted Richard Jr. when he was underage. “Whatever happened in my life, it happened when I was young. Way before the ’80s,” Pryor Jr. told TMZ when asked about the allegations against Mooney.
The TMZ reporter went on to ask if the sexual relationship was consensual, to which Richard Jr. responded, “How can any relationship be consensual if I was a teenager?” He also refused to address whether or not his father put a $1 million hit on Mooney for the alleged molestation.
However, On the other end, Mooney’s legal team has denied the allegations, telling the website that Richard Jr’s accusations don’t make sense. Mooney’s reps explain that both comedians were seen together in the late 1990s, almost 20 years after Khan claims their friendship died.
The rep went on to say that Richard Jr. never said Mooney’s name while talking to TMZ about the consensual sex, Complex Media reports.
