Former drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross praises Kim Kardashian-West for spearheading the Lyft partnership, which aims to help up to 5,000 soon-to-be-released prisoners with transportation for rehabilitation needs like job interviews and check-ins.
Freeway, who went to federal prison in 1996 after making millions as a drug kingpin during the ’80s crack cocaine epidemic, spoke with TMZ and expressed that drugs are not a violent crime. Selling drugs is a matter of economics for most.
Ross said despite having to “mess with Trump,” Kim is doing the right thing by helping non-violent Drug offenders. He also gave her props for helping Alice Marie Johnson come home from prison after 21 years. “She’s making it happen.”
“People come up to me all the time and ask how I changed. No, I never was vicious. I never was violent. I just wanted some money,” he said.
