Rick Ross has been slapped with a small claims lawsuit for allegedly stealing the entire marketing strategy for “Maybach Music.”
According to TMZ, the legal battle began back in 2017 after Ishaq R. Muhammad, also known as Young Muhammed, sent Ross a threatening letter over the catchphrase.
At the time, Muhammad threatened to sue for Ross’ use of the classic phrase, if the rapper refused to nix it. But now, almost 10 months later, Muhammad wants Da Boss to pay up for jacking his idea.

In new documents obtained by the publication, Mohammad said he featured Ross on a 2007 track, called, “Caprice Music,” and used his husky voice to say the phrase throughout the track. However, according to Mohammad, Ross jacked it, put his car of choice in place of the Caprice, and called it his own.

As a result, Muhammad said he wants $9,999 for theft of his intellectual property since he claims he trademarked his phrase in 2008. He also says he’s suing Roc Nation for endorsing Ross’ ripped off phrase.

However, Da Boss has yet to respond to the claims.
