Rihanna left the world mesmerized when images from her Harper Bazaar photoshoot hit the net, which found the 32-year-old draped in luxury fashions from her Savage x Fenty line, Chanel, Dior and more.
The pop star-turned-beauty mogul will grace the cover of all 26 editions of Harper’s Bazaar’s around the world for the September edition, where she discusses her Fenty Beauty line in-depth, including the latest installment to the brand, Fenty Skin, which took two years to develop and includes makeup remover/cleanser, serum/toner, and an SPF moisturizer.
“I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skincare from the very beginning,” she said. “It was just about getting it right. You have to live with the formulas for a while and test them in different ways. It’s very different from makeup in that sense. It takes a long time.”
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross, who launched her own natural hair care line last year called “Pattern,” also gave RiRi her props in the BH cover story, crediting the “We Found Love” singer for single-handedly changing the beauty industry.
“Rihanna’s unapologetic determination to make beauty an inclusive industry—and her insistence that beauty be democratic—changed the game. She seems to imagine from a world where there are no limits, inviting us all to do the same.”
In one of the most talked-about images from the spread, Ri uses her high fashion shoot to take a stand against racial discrimination with a t-shirt that reads “End Racism,” as she takes out the trash wearing pink Amina Muaddi heels.
The issue, along with Rihanna’s full interview, will hit newsstands on September 8th.
