Rihanna is all about her money, even if it means filing a suit against her flesh and blood for exploitation.
According to The Blast, the Bajan superstar filed a lawsuit against her father, Ronald Fenty, for creating an entertainment company in their family name and using it to land phony business deals under the guise of Rihanna’s agent.
In documents obtained by The Blast, the badgal said her father worked alongside another man named Moses Perkins in creating Fenty Entertainment and said both men posed as her agent to secure multi-million dollar bookings.
“Although Mr. Fenty is Rihanna’s father, he does not have, and never has had, authority to act on Rihanna’s behalf,” the singer said in the suit, as she detailed the phony dealings.
In one instance, Rihanna said her father booked a $15 million tour in Latin America, two concerts at the Staples Center in L.A. and a show in T-Mobile Arena in Vegas for $400,000. The problem is, Rihanna said she had nothing to do with any of the bookings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Though Ronald claimed to have run the dealings by Rihanna’s team at Roc Nation, the Badgal said otherwise, arguing that no one from Roc Nation was ever involved in Ronald’s business. She said she’s sent a slew of cease and desist letters to her father and his business partner, but the two refuse to pack up their phony business.
As a result, Rihanna was forced to file a lawsuit and is now demanding unspecified damages, as well as an injunction against her father.
