Now, it looks like Rihanna stood in support of former NFL player and activist, Colin Kaepernick, by declining to perform at the Super Bowl’s halftime show.

Kaepernick,30, has been out of a job since March of 2017, just months after he led the league in a protest against police brutality by kneeling during the National Anthem.

As other players followed the lead of Kaepernick, national criticism followed.

But now, the Bad Gal is taking action and standing with Kaep. According to US Weekly, a source close to the singer revealed that Rihanna “does not agree with the NFL’s stance” on the matter.

Maroon 5 has been the confirmed act that will perform in 2019.
