For anyone expecting to see Rihanna on tour in the upcoming years, sorry to burst your bubble, but sis is staying home.
Days ago, reports surfaced that the “Work” singer inked a massive deal with Live Nation for a world tour for 2024 and 2025. Entertainment Tonight ran the piece, stating that sources with direct knowledge of the deal had revealed Rih was heading back on the road. This obviously sent fans into a frenzy, who have been patiently awaiting her full return to the stage. However, on Tuesday, other “high-level sources” told Billboard that the tour reports were completely “bogus.”
Rihanna herself has not commented on the tour talks, but the last time we saw the singer grace the stage was in February 2023, when she performed the Super Bowl halftime show. It was there that she revealed her second baby bump. Now a mom of two and rumored to be headed down the aisle with partner A$AP Rocky, she doesn’t seem interested in music. Rih is also expanding her Fenty brand with a children’s line on the way.
Her last project, “Anti,” was released in January 2016. As her eighth studio album, it went on to become six times platinum and was Grammy nominated. That album was accompanied by a world tour grossing $110 million worldwide. However, in recent years, her focus has been primarily on building her empire, which has helped amass her $1.4 billion net worth.
