Rihanna and A$AP Rocky confirmed that they are expecting their first child together on Monday, and her father could be happier.
Ronald Fenty is “ecstatic” over the news. TMZ reports that Riri gave him the good news the day before the pictures of her baby bump went public.
And dad is team girl all the way. “I’m looking for a girl. I already have two grandsons. Looking for a granddaughter now,” he said.
Fenty says that Rihanna has always loved children and will be a great mom. He thinks the same of Rocky, admitting that he’s met him a few times. “He’s a very a very cool person. I like him,” he said of Rocky. He added, “I think he’s going to be a great dad.”
He revealed that the “Diamonds” singer had previously only wanted one child. However, now she’s open to the possibility of more. Fenty said she told him she’d like to have three.
Fenty is also hoping for a wedding for the couple. He wants them to make it official. And he’s hoping to at least get a visit from his daughter and her family soon.
Rihanna and her dad have not always had the best relationship. The singer sued her father for using her name to benefit an entertainment company he created.
The lawsuit was dismissed shortly before it was headed to court. It’s believed the two settled.
