Rihanna is finally releasing new music, but it’s not the album her fans have been begging for since ANTI dropped in 2016.
Instead, the billionaire beauty boss recorded a new track called “Friend of Mine” for the upcoming Smurfs movie. The song was revealed Wednesday along with the film’s latest trailer and will officially drop this Friday.
The teaser includes a preview of the track, where Rihanna sings, “You’re looking like a friend of mine,” over a soft, Afrobeats-style dance beat.
Rih isn’t just on the soundtrack though. She’s also starring in the animated film as the voice of Smurfette.
The Smurfs Movie is set to hit theaters July 18.
