Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka Says The Team Will Be Fully Vaccinated By Season Opener

NBA star LeBron James has danced around the “vaccine” questions for months, but according to Los Angeles Laker’s general manager Rob Pelinka, the whole team will be fully vaxxed by the start of the season.

King James has withheld his vaccine decision, but now that Pelinka has announced the team’s decision, it’ll be evident who decided and who decided not to get vaccinated on the Laker’s roster.

“On opening night, all of the players that are currently signed on our roster will be deemed fully vaccinated,” Pelinka told reporters Thursday. “We’re grateful for that.

Pelinka is optimistic about the idea of a fully vaccinated team, which will also include its staff members. He says the team will not face any setbacks due to everyone within the organization being vaccinated, TMZ reported.

In May, James brushed the topic off, saying it wasn’t a “big deal.”

“Anything I do off the floor is predicated to my family for the majority or 99.9% of that,” James said at the time.

“It’s about the health and safety of my family,” he added. “That’s what it came down to. Being available to my teammates on the floor is about taking care of my body and me doing everything I can to make sure I’m available both mentally, physically and spiritually as well. But, anything of that nature is all family talk.”

Some speculate James was vaccinated before the first round of the NBA playoffs last season after the NBA said he would not have to quarantine after appearing at an outdoor event.
