According to the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, a technique believed to be used by painters in the European Renaissance,” Twilight” star Robert Pattinson is now the most beautiful man in the world, joining Bella Hadid who was named the most beautiful woman in the world in October 2019.
According to the Daily Mail, Pattinson’s facial features were measured against the features of other male celebrities. Apparently, his face came the closest to what ancient Greeks deemed to be perfect, according to scientists, who use the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi in conjunction with a mathematical formula to scientifically “explain what makes a person beautiful.” The percentages are determined by measuring the length and width of a person’s face, then dividing the results. According to the formula, Pattinson’s face beat out the competition with 92.15 percent.
Henry Cavill came in second place with 91.64, followed by Bradley Cooper with 91.08, Brad Pitt with 90.51, George Clooney in fifth place with 89.91, Hugh Jackman with 89.64, David Beckham at 88.96 and Idris Elba coming in at a surprising eighth place with 88.01.
Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Julian De Silva, used similar scientific formulas in his work when planning patients’ procedures.
“These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful, and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery.”
