Rod Wave is stepping away from music after backlash over his tour cancellation.
Fans were caught off guard when his Nashville show on January 28th was abruptly postponed.
“Unfortunately, Rod Wave is unable to perform tonight,” the venue shared. “The show is being postponed to a later date. More details to follow.”
This was already a rescheduled date from December, leaving fans frustrated. Shortly after, Rod canceled the rest of his Last Lap Tour, leading him to address the negativity.
“To all my real fans thank you and I love you and I hope all the s**t we been through you finally heal,” he wrote on Instagram.
“To the rest of yall drag my name talk about me like a dog constantly speaking on me bashing me and what make me happy I dont fw you… this ain’t goodbye it’s simply see u later… Till we meet again.”
Rod also revealed plans to “travel, see the world, find love, raise kids, prolly go back to school.”
Meanwhile, Ari Lennox revisited her troubling experience on his 2023 Nostalgia Tour. After Flo Milli was hit with a shoe on Gunna’s tour, Lennox expressed sympathy and called out Wave for not defending her when she faced “evil” and “racist” treatment.
“Maybe I could’ve gotten over some of Rod Wave’s evil, racist and demonic fans, but what made it even worse is Rod saying nothing in my defense. Privately or publicly,” she wrote. “To protect my peace I will never open up for a soul again.”
