Rapper Roddy Rich was released from police custody Sunday afternoon after being arrested on multiple gun charges.
Unfortunately, his arrest made him miss his performance at the Governor’s Ball.Â
New York City Police arrested the rapper after he and his crew were stopped at a security checkpoint for the huge festival going on in Queens over the weekend.
Law enforcement sources say officers said they found a loaded firearm inside the vehicle Roddy was riding into the show. Cops allege there were nine rounds of ammo as well as a large-capacity magazine.
Roddy and two other people riding in the vehicle were arrested. The rapper has been hit with four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, and unlawful possession of that device.
The festival broke the upsetting news to his fans ahead of his performance.
