Kanye West will not be headlining Rolling Loud Miami. Instead, it will be Kid Cudi.
The decision is interesting, seeing that the two artists are at odds.
Festival organizers announced the news on Sunday, saying that for reasons beyond their control, Kanye would no longer be performing at the event scheduled for later this month as one of the three headliners.
Rolling Loud Co-Founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler told TMZ, “We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing. This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show, and though we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best.”
“We look forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.”
Kid Cudi also confirmed the news by posting the new lineup on his IG story, but it’s still unclear why Kanye is no longer performing. He also pulled out of Coachella at the last minute, with no explanation.
Cudi has officially publicly disavowed West, declaring that their friendship is over, which came after Ye took some jabs at him for being friends with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new fling Pete Davidson.
