Vin Diesel has an adorable 7-year-old daughter named Hania Riley and he recognizes that unfortunately for him, she will undoubtedly have a number of guys chasing her in the future. Like any overprotective dad, he wants to make sure that she stays out of harm’s way. But Vin is taking it one step further and sending Hania Riley off to take classes in self defense so that she can protect herself in case her dad isn’t around. And who better to call on to train his daughter than his Furious 7 co-star and UFC champion Ronda Rousey?
Diesel has enlisted Rousey’s services to teach his daughter different forms of self defense. The famed UFC fighter has started training Hania Riley in judo, a martial art that Rousey herself began learning at a young age. According to Diesel, it’s been going pretty well so far.
“First of all, I feel sorry for anyone that has to date my daughter. I wouldn’t want that on my worst enemy because I’m just that kind of dad,” Diesel said in an interview with WENN. “I’ve been thinking about this since the day I cut the umbilical cord, and because of that, I made a decision early on that I was going to do everything in my power to empower her to handle it herself. Because of her ‘auntie’ Ronda Rousey, she is now an orange belt with stripes in judo. I’m dealing with it early. I’m creating a beast, and I want her to be able to say ‘No means no.'”
Having Vin Diesel for a father and a mini-Ronda-Rousey-in-training for a daughter? No one’s gonna mess with that family!
