Rosario Dawson Comes Out As Part of The LGBTQ Community

Rosario Dawson is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and she’s ready to tell the world.

In a recent interview with Bustle, the actress opened up about a 2018 Instagram post that sparked rumors about her sexuality. Although she paid homage to the LGBTQ community in the Pride month post, she said it was not an admission about her sexuality.

“People kept saying that I [came out]… I didn’t do that,” she said before alluding to her sexual preference. “I mean, it’s not inaccurate, but I never did come out come out.”

“I mean, I guess I am now,” she said.

However, the actress, who has been in an exclusive relationship with Cory Booker since 2018, did not reveal how she identifies.

“I’ve never had a relationship in that space, so it’s never felt like an authentic calling to me,” she added, before opening up about her relationship with Booker, which she revealed has been trying with his position in politics.

“It’s the first time I felt like I had to be responsible about my choice of love, which is a challenging thing to do,” Rosario said. “If you fall in love, you fall in love. But there’s another aspect I had to consider: what this meant in [putting] a microscope on my family and particularly on my daughter,” she added of her 17-year-old, Isabella, who was adopted in 2014. “But in each other, I think we found our person.”
