Prior to reporting Dwight Howard to authorities for beating their son with a belt and leaving marks, Royce Reed was also investigated for spanking her child.
Back in February the then 6 year old’s school contacted DFACS saying that Royce belted the child on the back of his neck and leg for saying the F-word in school. Authorities checked out the kid and there were no obvious marks. Royce admitted to the spanking, also saying that she spanked the child with a fabric belt. The case was closed despite the school accusing Reed of using excessive force on the child.
