Federal agents have executed a search warrant on Rudy Giuliani‘s apartment.
Federal agents are running through Giuliani’s house like a tomb raider after executing a search warrant this Wednesday on his Manhattan apartment. This comes after federal prosecutors launched a two-year-long investigation.
The government is dipping into Giuliani’s business because they want to know what possible business transpired between Giuliani and Ukraine. Specifically, federal agents want to know if he conducted illegal lobbying for Ukrainian officials while investigating Joe Biden. For now, Giuliani has not been charged for anything.
According to the New York Times, federal agents have confiscated electronic devices. Giuliani’s lawyer Robert Costello didn’t immediately respond to request for comment, according to CNN. A spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s has declined to comment, according to the news outlet.
New York prosecutors sought a search warrant for Giuliani previously. Last year they wanted to look into his communications. However, prosecutors were at a standstill with officials Justice Department in Washington, who cited a lack of evidence against Giuliani.
