Conservative Radio Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh has died of lung cancer at the age of 70.
The political commentator and popular Fox Media pundit First announced he was battling the advanced stages of lung cancer a year ago, and reports state his health took a turn for the worse recently, resulting in him missing some shows and causing his show producers to ask his audience for prayers.
Limbaugh started his radio career in the 1970s and became a staple on Fox with his often controversial and polarizing political takes. He is best known for hosting “The Rush Limbaugh Show.” The radio version of his show has been in national syndication since 1988 and made him one of the prominent voices of the conservative movement for the last 30 years.
He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Donald Trump on Feb. 4, last year, one day after he announced his diagnosis.
