Back in March, RussellSimmons was hit with a $10 million lawsuit over allegations of sexual assault. In the suit, the woman, identified as Jane Doe, claimed Simmons raped her and threatened her elementary school-aged son, after a Def Jam concert in 1988.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At the time, Simmons “vehemently” denied the allegations, maintaining he never had non-consensual sex with anyone. One month later, he filed documents, accusing the woman of trying to “extort large sums of money” from him, while her lawyer tried to “make a name for himself.”
Since then, the music mogul has filed new documents in the case, demanding she pay $35,000 for filing a “baseless” lawsuit against him.
In documents obtained by the @Blast, Simmons says the woman filed the suit only for “purposes of publicity, which this case has garnered.” He also called her out for dragging his lawyer into the mess, claiming the attorney also represented Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein, which the mogul proved to be untrue.

According to The Blast, Simmons says Doe’s lawyer has a history of misconduct and calls the pair’s lawsuit “outrageous and fictional” and says it was filed to “extort a settlement.” As a result, Simmons wants Doe and her lawyer to cough up $34,376 for fees and cost in fighting “this baseless and improper” claim.
