Over the weekend, a story about Russell Wilson -published by Media Take Out – went viral, causing a social media split between the hopeless romantics and B.A.N.S. While most commended Wilson for helping his wife build her own business – as the report alleged Wilson purchased Ciara’s masters to kickstart her new record label – others were irritated at the fact that Wilson, once again, went all out for his wife.
“Russell Wilson and Ciara so corny dawg,” one user wrote, while another tweeted, “any woman that says she ‘prefers’ a ‘corny’ guy like Russell Wilson, I assume she’s a single mother ready to get off the cock carousel. We know none of those men that were ravaging her box during her prime were not ‘corny.’
“Russell Wilson is undeniably corny. That’s not a bad thing though. That’s part of why he worships the ground Ciara walks on and makes a great father/husband,” another man wrote, as other users made Future jokes.
But now, after the report exposed all the ‘uncorny’ men, it’s being reported that the entire report was inaccurate, according to Complex.
Although MTO reported that a “music executive” and “insider” said “Russell bought her the masters and gave them to her, in her name only,” sources close to the couple told Complex that he did not purchase the masters as a Christmas gift. However, back at a 2019 Masters Conference Q&A, the singer did mention that she owned her masters, but as it turns out, they weren’t a Christmas gift from her boo.
