Former NFL player Ryan Clark has some choice words for Andrew Schulz following his comments about Black women.
During an episode of “The Pivot,” the athlete-turned-podcaster addressed Schulz, who claimed that white men change their appearance when dating Black women as a defense mechanism against nasty attitudes and violence. Clark, like many online, was offended by these remarks. He took a moment to break down the beauty and resilience of Black women while refuting the notion that they are violent.
“I believe he got too comfortable,” Clark stated before sharing how he witnessed his mother be mistreated in corporate America while raising two children and helping her husband, who worked multiple jobs to provide for their family. Additionally, Clark touched on how his wife, Yonka, was there for him during his health scare, all while having her own fears regarding his condition.
“The reason that Black women are tough is because when you’re mistreated in a way that Black women are, if you’re not tough, you just die off. You don’t survive. That’s the Black woman experience,” Clark added.
The 44-year-old believes Schulz’s ignorant comments stemmed from his having a white wife and being unable to relate to Black women in any way. Schulz has not expressed remorse for his comments. However, the media personality did poke fun at ShxtsNGigs hosts James and Fuhad for apologizing to their fanbase after Schulz made the remarks on an episode of their show.
