Ray McDonald seems to attract trouble. Back in August he was arrested for assaulting and allegedly pulling a gun out on his pregnant fiancee and most recently he’s being investigated for a sexual assault. It seems that the San Francisco 49er’s have had enough of his shenanigans and decided to cut him.
Niners GM General Manager Trent Baalke held a news conference discussing McDonald’s exit in which he says the defensive lineman has made a series of bad decisions. Apparently McDonald was told to keep himself out of trouble after the assault case but now that the rape allegations have surfaced, further disciplinary action had to be taken. The Niners assure that this is not a case of guilt vs innocence and that McDonald deserved to have his day in court.
