Well, this is interesting. Saudi Arabia’s first male robot is accused of inappropriately touching a female reporter’s butt during an event intended to introduce him to the world.
The incident was captured on video. The AI robot, named Muhammad, was recorded touching the woman earlier this week in Riyadh, at an event called DeepFest, which is an AI get-together where people join to talk tech, artificial intelligence and noteworthy breakthroughs, TMZ reported.
The robot was standing on a platform behind TV journalist Rawya Kassem when it slowly moved its right arm towards her, attempting to touch her backside in the middle of her report. It looks like contact was made.
The reporter can be seen turning around and motioning the robot to back off.
