Saved By the Bell Reboot Pays Tribute to Late Actor Dustin Diamond

Following Dustin Diamond’s shocking death to cancer earlier this year, the cast of Saved by the Bell pays on-screen tribute in the season premiere.

Saved by the Bell was a 90s classic, and Screech was a staple in the sitcom. The reboot aired its second season on Peacock Wednesday, and it wasn’t too long until we understood the assignment.

The old gang Lisa Turtle (played by Lark Voorhies), Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), AC Slater (Mario Lopez), and Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) gathered around their iconic favorite table at “The Max” to order food. They ordered an inspired new menu item called the “spaghetti burger.”

The season premiere also features the cast reminiscing about past moments with Screech through a video montage of their best high school moments.

Dustin, 44, was apparently in the talks of returning to the show before his sudden death of lung cancer in February.
