Scarlett Johansson has come to the limelight once again, defending Woody Allen.
Johansson first came forward back in September to defend Allen, who’s daughter, Dylan Farrow, has accused him of sexual assault. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I love Woody,” Johansson said in the interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I believe him and would work with him anytime.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, Johansson opened up about her feelings about Woody Allen once again in an interview with Vanity Fair, which was published on Tuesday.
“I do understand how that is triggering for some people,” Johannsson said. “But just because I believe my friend does not mean I don’t support women, believe women. I think you have to take it on a case-by-case basis. You can’t have this blanket statement — I don’t believe that. But that’s my personal belief. That’s how I feel.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the wake of the accusations, several people who have worked with Allen in the past have come forward expressing regret, although Allen has maintained his innocence and has not been charged.
