Wisconsin’s Republican leadership is facing serious scrutiny after Scott Soucek, the husband of Door County GOP chair and Trump delegate Stephanie Soucek, was hit with 10 felony counts of possessing child pornography. According to police, authorities uncovered over 300 illicit images and videos linked to Soucek’s online activity.
The 49-year-old from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, was formally charged in July 2025 after a months-long investigation. The case began in March when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children flagged suspicious uploads tied to Soucek’s IP address. After securing warrants and searching his home, investigators recovered hundreds of disturbing files spread across multiple devices.
But here’s where it gets worse—court records show that Soucek had already admitted back in 2009 to downloading similar illegal content during a prior investigation. Despite that confession, no charges were filed at the time.

This time, authorities are moving forward.
His wife, Stephanie Soucek, serves as the Chair of the Door County Republican Party and was a delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention, publicly supporting Donald Trump. The couple’s political connections have raised concerns about whether previous allegations were brushed aside.
As of now, Scott Soucek is out on bond and awaiting trial. Law enforcement officials say more digital forensics are underway, and additional charges could still be on the table.
