Scottie Pippen is spilling the tea on how Suge Knight ducked the smoke from former NBA Pro Charles Oakley at a party.
Pippen sat down with the “Chopping It Up With Oakley” podcast, where he discussed the encounter with Death Row’s head honcho during a night out on the town with Oakley. The 57-year-old told co-host Sasha Del Valle that he had a lot of “run-ins” with people before giving Pippen the floor to detail what occurred.
“I’m sitting in the middle of the party, and all of a sudden, I look up, and I’m seeing all these people get pushed around. So Oak looks and said, ‘That’s Suge Knight. He don’t want none of this here smoke! I had beef with him the other night,'” Pippen recalled before adding that Knight avoided Oakley for the rest of the night.
Oakley spent 19 seasons in the NBA, most of which were with the New York Knicks. He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall Of Fame and Museum in April 2016 and is now a coach for the Killer 3s in the Big3 League.
It remains unclear what sparked the initial beef between him and Knight. Oakley did not comment further in the clip, and we are unlikely to hear Knight’s side, as he is currently serving a 28-year sentence for a 2015 fatal hit-and-run.
