Attorneys for Scottsdale in Arizona are refiling charges against Jake Paul stemming from his presence at a mall during George Floyd protests last year.
The YouTube star is facing misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and unlawful assembly stemming from the incident. The City initially dropped the charges after the investigation was picked up by the FBI, according to TMZ.
After the feds picked up the case, Paul’s house in Calabasas and his Graffiti Mansion in Las Vegas were raided. However, the FBI declined to prosecute, citing a lack of evidence.
Once the feds dropped the case, Scottsdale attorneys refiled the case. Now, Paul is scheduled to appear in court sometime after Labor Day. He faces a year in jail if convicted.
