Seal Accused of Sexual Battery; Denies Allegations

One week after the Oprah Winfrey controversy, Seal has found himself in the middle of a criminal investigation for sexual battery. According to TMZ, actress Tracey Birdsall has accused the singer of forcing himself on her.

The incident occurred back in 2016 when the two were neighbors. Birdsall told TMZ that the two had a great relationship up until the incident.  She said she went to the singer’s house to get a salad spinner she lent him, but things took a turn for the worse when he lunged at her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Birdsall said Seal forcibly kissed her and told her she’d been asking for it by wearing a tank top and shorts. He then began to grope her, despite Birdsall’s pleas for him to stop.

Shaken up, the actress then joined him on the couch, where he continued to grope her. According to TMZ, she left shortly after and never spoke to the singer again.

She told the publication that his recent statement amid the controversy surrounding Oprah, where he seemingly alleged the legendary host was part of the sexual assault problem in Hollywood, prompted her to speak out about the assault. Since then though, the singer has denied the allegations.

“Seal vehemently denies the recent allegations made against him by a former neighbor for alleged misconduct more than a year ago. He intends to vigorously defend himself against these false allegations,” a rep told TMZ.
