Sean “Diddy” Combs has returned his key to New York City after a request from Mayor Eric Adams. This follows the release of a video showing Diddy allegedly attacking R&B singer Cassie, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Mayor Adams sent letters to Combs’ offices in New York and California on June 4, asking for the key to be sent back to City Hall. In his letter, Adams expressed being “deeply disturbed” by the incident, stating, “I strongly condemn these actions and stand in solidarity with all survivors of domestic and gender-based violence.” The city received the key on June 10.
Combs was originally awarded the key at a ceremony last year, which coincided with the release of his new album.
