Sean “Diddy” Combs is not going down without a fight in his Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones case.
The Bad Boy creator and his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, have filed documents asking a judge to dismiss Rod’s shocking accusations against him. Diddy’s motion for dismissal includes a recent video of Rod during 50 Cent’s Humor and Harmony Festival earlier this month. In the clip with Uncle Murda, Rod can be heard demanding that Diddy “pay him that money by Monday.” According to the “Last Night” performer, Rod is simply trying to snag a quick payday.
If you recall, Rod made several business and sexual assault claims against Diddy in his lawsuit earlier this year. He accused the producer of failing to pay him for his work on 2023’s “The Love Album: Off The Grid.” Furthermore, Rod says Diddy tried to groom him for sex and that people in his circle had also touched him inappropriately. The 54-year-old argues that the musician couldn’t provide any factual details to back the alleged sexual abuse.
Rod’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, is also facing issues that could hurt Rod’s case. In April, a New York judge referred Blackburn to a grievance committee due to suspected violations of court rules. That judge made the move based on “glaring deficiencies” in at least five lawsuits filed by Blackburn. He currently represents several Diddy accusers, including April Lampros, who says Diddy sexually assaulted her multiple times while she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1994. Diddy has denied each of these allegations.
