The “adopted brother” of Michael Oher has spoken out after the retired NFL pro filed documents accusing the Tuohys of tricking him into a conservatorship.
Sean Tuohy Jr. joined Barstool Sports, where he denied allegation brought on by the former NFL star and subject of “The Blind Side.”
“I get it, why he’s mad. I completely understand. It stinks that it’ll play out on a very public stage,” Tuohy stated.
“Man, if I had $2 million in my bank account, it would be in my email signature and say, ‘Signed, SJ Tuohy, multi-millionaire,’ ” said Tuohy,

Oher filed legal documents this week, demanding that the Tuohys hand over all accounting from the early 2000s until now. This would cover the timeframe that Oher believed the family was adopting him, the release of the film, and its after-effects. “The Blind Side” is based on the couple adopting him as a high schooler and propelling him to football stardom. However, according to Oher, that was not exactly the case. He only recently learned that he was not a legal part of the Tuohy family, and instead of adoption papers, he’d signed over rights for the couple to make business decisions on his behalf.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy also sided with Oher, explaining that “somebody clearly is making a ton of the money off that movie.” Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy have not yet spoken up about Oher’s new court case. He is seeking an injunction preventing the family from using his name and likeness for financial gain. Additionally, Oher is seeking compensation for proceeds from the film and other endeavors using his life story.
