Ex-NFL safety Sergio Brown has entered a not guilty plea after he was accused of murdering his 73-year-old mother and hiding her body.
On Wednesday, Brown entered pleas in front of an Illinois judge and is scheduled for another hearing late next month.
In October, Brown was charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a dead body after his mother was found dead near a creek behind their shared Maywood home.
Police say that after the killing, Brown fled to Mexico, where he was later spotted partying at a Tulum club.
Brown was eventually extradited to Illinois, where he is currently facing charges and being held without bail.
