The St. Louis rapper lit up social media with a preview of a raunchy rework of Jackson’s “Beat It,” riding the familiar beat with her own freaky spin. In the clip, Red keeps listeners on their toes, taking the original’s anthem of defiance into a far more adult direction that’s already getting people talking.
Over the iconic instrumental, she flips the chorus into a chant that leaves little to the imagination, leaning hard into the unfiltered persona fans have come to expect. In one part of the snippet, Red spits: “Coochie not funky, and it’s super tight / I’m tryna get my coochie ate up tonight / Just eat it, just eat it,” showcasing exactly how she’s reshaped the classic’s message.
