Shake Shack Burgers Will Soon Be Served on Delta Flights

Delta Air Lines is leveling up its in-flight dining experience with a new partnership that’s sure to excite frequent flyers and foodies alike. Starting December 1, Shake Shack’s famous cheeseburgers will be available on select Delta flights out of Boston. Initially offered to First Class passengers on routes over 900 miles, the collaboration plans to roll out to other U.S. markets through 2025.

Stephanie Laster, Delta’s Managing Director of Onboard Service, highlighted the appeal of bringing this fan-favorite to the skies: “A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food – our customers know that, which is why burgers are one of the top-ordered menu items we offer. We’re thrilled to elevate this offering with Shake Shack.” She also emphasized how the partnership goes beyond food, reflecting a shared commitment to community enrichment and top-notch service.

The featured in-flight Shake Shack Cheeseburger is crafted from 100% Angus beef and served on a toasted potato bun. Passengers can personalize their burger with a side of tomato, lettuce, and the iconic ShackSauce. The meal also includes chips, a Caesar salad, and a decadent dark chocolate brownie inspired by Shake Shack’s dessert offerings, making for a high-altitude feast worth savoring.

Shake Shack’s Global Licensing President, Michael Kark, expressed enthusiasm for the venture: “At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are – even at 35,000 feet. We’re proud to partner with Delta to enhance the in-flight dining experience for travelers across the country.”

First Class customers on eligible flights can pre-select their Shake Shack cheeseburger meal through the Fly Delta app or an emailed link starting seven days before departure, with modifications allowed up to 24 hours before takeoff.

This exciting launch builds upon Delta’s relationship with Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) and its founder, Danny Meyer, who also created Shake Shack. The collaboration extends Delta’s tradition of partnering with premier culinary talent, including USHG’s Union Square Events, which provides meals for select flights from JFK.
